Coumarone resin is also named coumarone petroleum resin or coumarone indene resin.
Coumarone resin is dark brown granular, massive or flake solid thermoplastic resin. It is a polymer of low molecular weight which mainly uses coal tar, C9 fraction and ethylene tar as raw materials, and is generated by polymerization reaction.
Coumarone resin has excellent properties of mutual solubility, good adhesion, waterproof, thermal stability, acid and alkali chemical stability.
Coumarone resins function as a plasticizer, tackifier and reinforcing resin for natural and most synthetic rubbers.
